We Aren't Busy, Just Living

I can't believe it is already Thursday! How did the week fly by? School, play, cooking, laundry and more laundry room construction - still not over. The construction has moved upstairs to the boys' and girls' closets. They are installing a shared laundry shoot between both closets. The laundry room still isn't picture ready, but it is getting there. It just needs a few finishing touches. The dining room still isn't fixed. The washers and dryers are now up and running which is very good.

I tried fixing a few one dish breakfasts to make life a bit easier on myself. Made a great apple puff pancake for breakfast that the kids loved. Today I tried another one dish potato, cheese and egg thing which was a big flop. After the first bite I knew. It wasn't altogether yucky, but not something I would choose to have a second time. Fortunately I had a back up plan. I had also made a type of breakfast brownie. The kids liked that too but it was too crumbly for my taste. Probably won't make that again either. I'll keep trying.

Pulled into the driveway returning home from the kids' choir practice today in time to see one of the construction workers taking a ride on M's rip stick down the driveway. M was fit to be tied at the sight because this was her prized Christmas present! I said nothing, but SHE handled it well. She told him he needed to learn a thing or two and asked him to get off so she could show him how to ride it properly.
