Lazy Sunday Afternoon

I thought we were all over the stomach flu, but then my Rocky succumbed on Friday. We've had a few more days pause and can only wonder if it is gone in earnest.

Tigger spent the weekend camping out with his Boy Scout troop. This was his second overnight adventure. He came home with a tiny visitor, a tick. Sweety didn't want to offer up her exceptional eyebrow tweezers for the purpose of extracting the tick from Tigger at first, but finally handed them over. Thanks, Sweety! We'll sanitize them before giving them back. The tick was so tiny we had to use the microscope to look at it. Great science for a Sunday afternoon! It does count for school!

This week we are going to do our best to wrap up our "curriculum" school year with MODG and pack our things for a week of vacation. I'll have to pull out summer clothes as well. This is a huge chore. Hopefully it will be easier than last year, we'll see. One can only tell if a clothes boxing system works when going back to it a year later. Usually I find the system worked to a point. There is always a box or two looking as though I got very tired and just tossed things in willy-nilly. On two occasions I came back to my system only to find that a child had fumbled through it first leaving no system at all!! UGH!! I won't know for sure until I open the doors to the darkest recesses of the house. Another day, perhaps..... Today I am resting.
