More Construction/Destruction

We had to pick out flooring, laminate for the counter top and paint yesterday for the laundry room work to continue. This job was made easier for me as I could only pick out what was actually in stock. Never mind if any of this will match our kitchen later, as we haven't picked any of that out yet either. I can always shut the laundry room door, right? Does it ever shut?

The guy doing the work is great but the plumber had a few accidents yesterday. A minor flood in the basement and a slice through our dining room chair rail (adjoining wall to the laundry room) that I only noticed this a.m. I wondered yesterday why he left rather suddenly with hardly a good-bye. The other workmen were quick to clean up and hopefully they can fix this mishap in the dining room as well.

I'm in suspense wondering what happened with the chair rail.

Nothing has happened yet with the chair rail. The gentleman in charge says he will cut a wedge, fill it in, sand it and repaint. He also says he will clean the carpet in the basement because it has dried off colored. I'll let you know when the repairs are made.
