Reason to Celebrate

We had an awesome time at A's b-day party yesterday. The kids woke up in the same celebratory spirit as they played with the balloons left over from the party. I reflected on how wonderful each birthday truly is. What a miracle and a reason to celebrate. And A is quite a wonderful child with a gentle spirit and a vivid imagination. I guess I always get a bit sentimental when the children and cousins gather to play. The air is filled with shouts and squeals of delight. They automatically invent imaginative games. There is a sense of joy that I hope the children will remember when they are grown. Of course, not all is perfect - a scuffle here, a bruised knee there, a occasional cry of foul from a child whose sense of justice is blooming. But overall, when children gather and everything seems most chaotic (to an adult)- everything is most assuredly in right order.
