Rocky's Lip

Poor Rocky has a lower lip full of stitches after his face collided with a toy stand behind a couch in our home. Yes, it was the very same couch the children use to set up their tents. No one saw the incident so we don't really know for sure how it happened, but he is lucky to still have a lower lip. Even after what he called "the worst day of his life", yesterday I turned around in time to see him falling from the top of the couch and nearly smacking his face again!! Don't some children learn from their mistakes? As Rocky has never had any serious injuries before I tried my hardest to impress upon him the fact that it was due to his wonderful guardian angel, but that now he is older and hopefully a little wiser. He should try hard to avoid calamity because he is getting to an age where his angel might allow him a fall or two to teach him the laws of gravity apply to everbody, especially daring little boys.

Ack! How many stitches did it take? Was it on the lip itself or under the lip? Poor kid. Poor you! Way too much excitement.

It was the area below his lip. They didn't tell me how many stitches but I think it was somewhere between 5 and 8. They stitched him with very clear dissolvable thread so I can't really see it very well to count.
