Packing Boxes and Box City

We are over the flu and just in time as dh is currently moving the last items out of the kitchen. It took us all weekend to pack things and move them. We might've made more progress without several toddlers underfoot and a baby in arms. Much of what we boxed seemed to magically resurrect itself and move about the house as the children made "discoveries". All the wonderful things I keep high and out of sight were suddenly at arms reach which proved to be irresistible to the little ones.

The last thing to be moved was our image of the Lady of Guadeloupe. She is presently peeking out from behind an armour as that was the only available wall nail I could find. At least she is safe from any immediate danger.

We weren't the only ones living out of boxes this weekend. The girls spent the weekend at our church living in boxes and covering with newspapers like the homeless. They did this to raise awareness of the homeless in the inner city and collect donations of food, clothing, etc.. to be given to them. They had a wonderful time packing bags of donations and making sandwiches for the soup kitchen.
